Poutine just isn’t poutine without that squeak.
Luckily, in Quebec and Eastern Ontario, a pit stop at nearly any corner store will result in smooth, squeaky cheese curds. It’s there that you’ll find them in their preferred habitat – at room temperature, conveniently located on the counter near the till.
